We had our first prenatal check up with our Dr. Niza Reyes last Saturday and everything went OK. We're really thinking of staying with her as our OB na even if our Ninong Doc recommended other OBs (na kaklase daw nya, susmaryosep baka kasing tanda na rin nya hehehe) because I'm quite comfortable talking with her and asking questions. Madaldal din si doktora and what I like best is that she really suggests ways para makatipid. Hehe. Downside though is that she really has a lot of patients, so you'd have to wait for your turn...but she already gave us a tip on how we can avoid being last on the list - tip lang daw para sa mga buntis na...

She already gave me my Mommy's book where we'd record our monthly check ups. And we also got her suggestions for the hospital to give birth in...pero syempre we'd visit those later na... here are her suggestions:

1. Asian Hospital - pro: really good facilities, con: mahal
2. Medical Center Muntinlupa - pro: malapit sa bahay, relatively mura, con: di daw ganun kaganda ang room (but we've yet to see)
3. Cardinal Santos - pro: hubby is allowed in the DR, labor room has TV :P, relative to Asian it's cheaper, con: malayo at ma-traffic

Hmm..we've yet to check these...siguro later na when I'm past this icky morning sickness-fatigue-prone stage.

hello che! i laughed at your "kasing tanda na niya" quip. hehehe...

you still have some time to decide. i'm sure that everything will sort itself out later on. it's nice that your OB is likeable. that is a big plus. =D

naku... lahat ata ng OB, kahit hindi yung pinakamagagaling... andaming patients! moreso nga if magaling and affordable :D kami nga tuwing check-up, naiisipan kong magpalit ng OB eh... sa tagal ng waiting time :D

anyway, congrats sa pregnancy :) am sure you're reading everything you can and you're all excited about the possibilities... hopefully, you'd have a smoother time at it than i did...

naku sis, parang mas ok sa akin yung OB na madami pumipilang patients kaysa wala ... yung last OB ko medyo ako lang ata nag patient niya, kaya nga duda kami dun eh. Kaya we stopped seeing her. Hahaha!

Guess what??? di pa di ako buntis :( I got my period last week :( huhuhu!

hi ann, looking on the bright side, at least regular naman ang dating ng period mo kaya hindi malaki ung problem masyado unlike kung di ka dinadatnan, di ba?

keep the faith!

re the OB, oo nga, kakaduda kung walang patients hehehe..at least ngayon alam na namin kung panong gagawin para hindi na ganun katagal ang paghihintay :)

hi, came across your blog. very interesting, can't stop reading your archives. Dr. Niza has been my OB since 2002. We've been seeing each other for 6 years now. Im expecting my 3rd baby this June.

Anyways, congrats for the new baby. Motherhood is really the best thing about being a woman. Keep blogging!
